MSP WordPress #30

November 27, 2012 in Meeting Agendas

At tonight’s gathering, Justin Foell gave us a nice overview of WordPress 3.5, which is set to drop really soon. He explained that the media upload screen has received a big overhaul.

Then, Josh Leuze discussed his Meteor Slides plugin and explained why he made the decisions he did in terms of custom post types, taxonomies, etc. It was really neat to get inside of his brain.

Lightning Round

Tonight was our first lightning round. Here are the results:

  • Dan Beil – Before and after photos; S2 Member with BuddyPress (BP Profile Search plugin)
  • Barbara Schendel – Demo’d a couple of neat sites she built recently
  • Kiko Doran – WordCamp 2013 update

Lightning rounds had to be cut short due to time constraints. Next time, we will have a gong. :)

We are getting together on 12/20 at Psycho Suzi’s in NE Minneapolis for food and beverages. See you there!
